I have over 33 years of clinical and consulting experience. I provide services to companies contracting with Employee Assistance Programs and national managed care companies. I work with individuals, couples, groups and families in my private practice. I also provide clinical supervision to individuals seeking counseling licensure.
I have developed numerous training manuals and present training to both the private and public sectors across the state. I am currently the Campus College Chair for the University of Phoenix's College of Social Sciences programs (Counseling, Human Services, Criminal Justice and Psychology). I am also an instructor for the University of Phoenix's Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and Bachelor of Science Human Services programs.
I received my Ph.D. in Counseling through the Counselor Education Department at the University of New Mexico in 1991. I'm a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I served as President of the New Mexico Mental Health Counselors Association in 1994, 2008 and 2009 and am currently serving as the secretary for NMMHCA as well as the Publications Chair. I am a Member of the American Counseling Association and the American Mental Health Counselors Association.
